According to Public TV, the French Ambassador to India, Thierry Matho, recently visited the historical Daria Daulat Bagh, also known as Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, located in Srirangapatna, Mandya district. The ambassador was accompanied by his wife, Cecile Matho, and the French Consul General, Marc Lamy. During the visit, the delegation toured the site and expressed appreciation for the ongoing maintenance and conservation efforts of the historical monument.

Srirangapatna holds significant historical importance as the former capital of the Kingdom of Mysore under Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan.
