According to Kanak News, a contractor named Nimesh Panigrahi from the Saintala area of Balangir district in Odisha has been reported missing, with his family alleging he was abducted and assaulted over a tender-fixing dispute. Reports indicate that Panigrahi had been unreachable since approximately 12:00 PM on the day of the incident. The family's complaint alleges that for the two days leading up to his disappearance, Panigrahi had been receiving threats from another contractor, identified as Kapil Agrawal, and his son. It is alleged that Agrawal had summoned Panigrahi to his residence under the pretext of resolving a dispute regarding a tender.
