According to TV9 Telugu, the forest department has launched a high-tech operation to capture a tiger that has been causing concern among residents in the Papikondalu region of the Eluru district. The animal has reportedly been evading capture by monitoring human movement and avoiding traditional traps, prompting authorities to deploy advanced surveillance technology to track its path.

The operation is being conducted under the directives of the Amaravati forest authorities. The mission is currently being supervised by Rajamahendravaram Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Dr. T. Jyothi and Eluru Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sandeep Reddy. The team is utilizing specialized equipment to ensure the safety of both the local population and the animal during the capture process.

Wildlife conflict management in the Papikondalu region remains a significant priority for the Andhra Pradesh forest department, particularly as human-wildlife interactions increase in fringe areas.
