According to Polimer News, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, conducted a series of official inspections at major industrial sites in the Kanchipuram district. The visits were aimed at assessing the operational status and production methodologies of key manufacturing facilities within the region.

During his tour, the Chief Minister visited the Saint-Gobain glass manufacturing plant in Sriperumbudur to observe production processes. Subsequently, he toured the Renault-Nissan automobile manufacturing facility in the Oragadam SIPCOT industrial estate. Reports indicate that these visits included discussions with company management regarding infrastructure and potential avenues for new investments in the state.

Following the site inspections, the Chief Minister held consultations with local government officials regarding strategies to attract further industrial development to the Oragadam corridor. These engagements are part of the state government's ongoing efforts to bolster the manufacturing sector and enhance the industrial ecosystem in Kanchipuram.
