According to a report by TV9 Telugu, a significant catch was recorded at the Mid Manair reservoir in the Rajanna Sircilla district of Telangana. A local fisherman reportedly landed a large 'Bochha' (Rohu) fish weighing approximately 30 kilograms. The size of the catch was such that it required the coordinated effort of three fishermen to successfully haul it onto the shore.

Local fishermen attribute the presence of such large aquatic life in the reservoir to the inflow of water from the Yellampalli project. They suggest that the flood canals connecting these water bodies facilitate the movement of larger fish into the Mid Manair reservoir, providing a boost to local fishing activities.

Such reports are common in the region during the monsoon and post-monsoon seasons when water levels and connectivity between irrigation projects increase. While this event remains a local interest story, it highlights the ongoing activity within the state's irrigation and reservoir systems, which serve as vital resources for the local fishing community.
