According to Sambad, local legislator Sanatan Bijuli, accompanied by administrative officials, has conducted a field assessment of flood-affected areas in the Odisha region following the recession of the Budhabalanga River floodwaters. The inspection aimed to evaluate the extent of damage to infrastructure, agricultural land, and residential properties in the aftermath of the recent flooding.

During the visit, the delegation toured several panchayats, including Mangobindapur, Shalagaon, and Patulipura. Officials present during the assessment included Additional District Magistrates Dukhabandhu Naik and Ishwar Chandra Naik, along with CDO Dharmananda Behera. The team engaged directly with local residents to document their losses and address immediate concerns regarding the recovery process.

This assessment is part of the state's ongoing efforts to streamline post-flood relief and rehabilitation operations. The administration is currently gathering data to facilitate the distribution of aid to those whose livelihoods and homes were impacted by the rising waters.
