11 civilians injured in Houthi attacks on Najran

According to the Saudi Gazette, eleven civilians were injured in the southern Saudi region of Najran following a series of attacks attributed to Houthi forces on Thursday. The incident was confirmed on Friday by Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesman for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

Among those injured were seven Saudi citizens, including a woman and a four-year-old child who reportedly sustained second-degree burns. The remaining casualties included one Yemeni national, two Egyptian residents, and one Pakistani resident. The coalition stated that the Houthi militia utilized indiscriminate projectiles to target civilian infrastructure, characterizing the action as a violation of international humanitarian law.

Maj. Gen. Al-Maliki emphasized that the Joint Forces Command of the coalition remains committed to taking necessary deterrent measures to ensure the protection of civilians and civilian objects within the kingdom. The attack marks a continuation of the long-standing security tensions along the Saudi-Yemen border, where cross-border strikes have historically impacted local populations and infrastructure.
