3 die as news chopper crashes while covering bus collision in Los Angeles

According to the Saudi Gazette, a tragic helicopter crash occurred Tuesday evening in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The aircraft, identified as a NewsChopper4 helicopter which also provided services for Telemundo 52, was reportedly in the area to cover a separate, deadly bus collision when it went down between two commercial buildings just before 19:00 local time.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) confirmed that emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the helicopter engulfed in flames. More than 70 firefighters were deployed to manage the blaze, which had spread to four nearby vehicles and two storage containers. In a statement, the LAFD confirmed that three people were pronounced dead at the scene, while a fourth patient was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The current condition of the survivor remains unknown.

Authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) have stated that the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. At this time, the identities of the victims have not been released, and officials have not yet confirmed the total number of people who were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident. The crash remains under active investigation by local authorities.
