7-member family among 9 killed in horrific Al-Ahsa crash

A tragic traffic accident in the Al-Ahsa governorate of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province has resulted in the deaths of nine people. According to the Saudi Gazette, the collision occurred on the Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun road, a major thoroughfare connecting the governorate to the region's coastal areas.

The victims included seven members of a single family—a father, mother, three sons, and two daughters—who were traveling in one of the vehicles involved. Two young men in the second vehicle also lost their lives in the crash. Local authorities reported that both vehicles sustained extensive damage, necessitating the intervention of specialized rescue teams from the Civil Defense and the Red Crescent to recover the victims.

The Eastern Province Traffic Department stated that the accident was caused by a sudden swerve, though an investigation into the specific circumstances remains ongoing. Officials are currently finalizing the necessary legal and administrative procedures following the incident.
