According to a report by Navabharat, a devotee participating in the Kanwar Yatra in Prayagraj has drawn attention for his specific ritual intentions during the holy month of Sawan. The individual, identified as Himanshu, is reportedly carrying 101 liters of Ganga jal as part of his pilgrimage.

Beyond the traditional aspects of the Yatra, the report states that the devotee has expressed personal political aspirations and wishes through his pilgrimage. Specifically, he has publicly stated his desire to see Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ascend to the position of Prime Minister of India, while also expressing his own personal goal of entering political office.

The Kanwar Yatra is an annual pilgrimage of devotees of Shiva, known as Kanwariyas, who travel to Hindu pilgrimage sites to fetch holy water from the Ganges River. While the pilgrimage is primarily a religious observance, it is not uncommon for participants to incorporate personal or social messages into their journey. Local authorities in Prayagraj typically manage the logistics and security for the large crowds that gather during this period to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
