दिल्ली के शेख सराय में बनेगी नई फॉरेंसिक लैब, 151 करोड़ रुपए मंजूर, CM रेखा गुप्ता ने किया ऐलान

According to a report by TV9 Bharatvarsh, the Delhi government has approved the construction of a new regional forensic science laboratory in the Sheikh Sarai area. The project, which has been allocated a budget of 151 crore rupees, is intended to bolster the city's investigative capabilities.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the new facility is designed to support the Home Department and the Delhi Police in meeting the operational requirements mandated by recent changes to criminal laws. By expanding forensic infrastructure, the government aims to expedite the processing of evidence and improve the efficiency of the criminal justice system in the capital.

This development comes as part of a broader push to modernize law enforcement resources in Delhi. Officials noted that the laboratory will be equipped with advanced technology to handle complex forensic analysis, which is expected to play a critical role in the investigation and prosecution of criminal cases moving forward.
