According to a report by Sambad, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension for the registration and re-registration process for the July 2026 academic session. This extension provides an opportunity for students who may have previously missed the deadline or are looking to enroll in various academic programs offered by the institution.

The university has clarified that the registration process for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PG diploma programs will remain open until September 30. However, students opting for re-registration during this extended period will be required to pay an additional late fee of 200 rupees. The extension applies to a wide range of disciplines, including general arts, science, and commerce streams.

IGNOU, known for its open and distance learning model, continues to facilitate higher education for individuals across various age groups and backgrounds. Prospective students are encouraged to visit the official university portal to complete their registration before the new deadline. The university has not specified further extensions, urging interested candidates to finalize their applications promptly to avoid any further administrative complications.
