According to Asianet News, a fresh controversy has erupted at Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, pitting the university's Vice-Chancellor, Dr. C.T. Aravindakumar, against the student union. The tension stems from the promotional materials prepared for an upcoming national conference, which reportedly featured illustrations of cockroaches and slogans critical of the Sangh Parivar.

The Vice-Chancellor has expressed strong disapproval of the content, characterizing the inclusion of such imagery and political messaging in official university event materials as inappropriate. In response to the unauthorized use of university resources for these materials, the administration has issued a warning, stating that the costs incurred for the production of the controversial posters will be recovered from the student union.

This incident marks the latest point of friction in the ongoing power struggle between the university administration and the student body. The student union has defended its position, while the university leadership maintains that institutional platforms must adhere to professional standards and remain neutral.
