According to reports from Asianet News, Kerala opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has dismissed the ongoing protests by the Students' Federation of India (SFI) as politically motivated. Chennithala questioned the legitimacy of the students' grievances, asking which specific demands had been violated to warrant such agitation. During his address, Chennithala also addressed allegations regarding the use of contaminated water in police water cannons during recent protest dispersals.
