Finance Min., Sudanese counterpart discuss financial, economic matters of mutual interest

Kuwait’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Refai, held formal discussions on Thursday with his Sudanese counterpart, Dr. Jibril Mohammad, to address a range of financial and economic matters of mutual interest. The meeting, which took place during an official visit by the Sudanese delegation to Kuwait, focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring new avenues for economic partnership between the two nations.

According to a statement released by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance, the talks emphasized the importance of historic fraternal relations between Kuwait and Sudan. Both ministers reviewed existing collaborative efforts and discussed strategic plans to further develop these ties in the coming period, prioritizing areas of shared economic interest.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside representatives from the Sudanese Embassy in Kuwait. The visit underscores ongoing diplomatic efforts to maintain and expand economic engagement between the two countries, despite broader regional challenges.
