GCC Secretary-General: Colombia’s Recognition of Israeli Sovereignty over Golan Violates International Law

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, has issued a formal statement condemning what he described as a violation of international law regarding the status of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), Albudaiwi expressed the GCC's firm position that any recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the territory contradicts established international treaties and United Nations resolutions.
