Israel weighs further strikes in Lebanon amid Rome talks after blast kills two soldiers

These fatalities mark the first reported Israeli military deaths in southern Lebanon in over a month. The soldiers were reportedly killed when an explosion occurred inside a booby-trapped building during operations in the area.

Additional reports indicate that an Israeli force was targeted by an explosion in the Majdal Zoun area on the same day. Israeli media outlets stated that the blast resulted in several casualties, with four soldiers reported to be seriously wounded. Those injured were evacuated by military helicopters to the Rambam Medical Center for treatment.
