ಇಷ್ಟಲಿಂಗ ಪೂಜೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನ

According to Vijayavani, a collective Ishtalinga Puja event is being organized in Basavakalyan to promote spiritual growth and equality, principles central to the teachings of Vishwaguru Basavanna and the Sharanas. The announcement was made during a pamphlet release ceremony held at the Haralayya cave, organized by the International Lingayat Dharma Center and the Akhila Bharata Lingavanta Haralayya Peetha.

Dr. Gangambika Akka, who presided over the event, emphasized that the 12th-century Sharana tradition granted everyone the right to spiritual practice, with the Ishtalinga Puja serving as a vital tool for connecting inner strength with the divine. She highlighted the significance of this practice in fostering individual spiritual elevation and social equality.

The ceremony was attended by several prominent local figures, including Satyakka Tai of the Akkamahadevi cave, Haralayya Samaj Vice President Gautam Jadhav, and various representatives from local Basava centers and farmers' unions. The event also served as a precursor to the upcoming Sharana Vijayotsava, which is scheduled to commence on October 11, 2026.
