Kuwaitis and Expats Urged to Activate Digital Signature for Government and Banking Services

According to the Arab Times Kuwait, the Ministry of Justice and the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) have issued a formal request for both Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to activate their approved digital signatures. This initiative is part of a broader national effort to streamline access to government and banking services through secure, authenticated digital channels.

The digital signature system is designed to facilitate remote transactions, reducing the need for physical visits to government offices and bank branches. By linking civil identification data with a verified electronic signature, authorities aim to enhance the security of online interactions and ensure that sensitive documents can be signed and submitted with legal validity. The move aligns with Kuwait's ongoing "Vision 2035" strategy, which emphasizes the digital transformation of public sector services to improve efficiency and accessibility for all residents.

Officials have indicated that the activation process is a necessary step for users to continue utilizing various e-services without interruption. Residents are encouraged to visit the official PACI portal or designated service centers to complete the activation.
