According to Polimer News, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, presided over a ceremony in Chennai where the state government signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with international corporations. These agreements are part of an ongoing effort to attract foreign direct investment and bolster the industrial landscape of the region.

Key agreements highlighted include the establishment of new operational centers by the Swiss insurance firm 'Chubb' and the German wind energy manufacturer 'Nordex'. Additionally, the University of Western Australia, a prominent research-focused institution, has reportedly entered into an agreement to establish a campus in the Velachery area of Chennai. This project is expected to span 50,000 square feet with an estimated investment of 125 crore rupees.

Furthermore, the report notes that the state's industrial department, led by Minister Keerthana, has been actively pursuing partnerships following recent diplomatic and trade missions to South Korea. As a result of these efforts, the South Korean automotive component manufacturer MotiveLink is expected to initiate operations in the Kanchipuram district. These developments represent a significant push by the state administration to diversify its industrial base and enhance educational infrastructure through international collaboration.
