Najla Al-Tuwaijri appointed as president of Princess Nourah University

According to the Saudi Gazette, royal approval has been granted for the appointment of Dr. Najla bint Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri as the new president of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU). The appointment marks a significant leadership transition for the Riyadh-based institution, which is one of the largest women's universities in the world.

Dr. Al-Tuwaijri brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served in several senior capacities at the university. Her tenure at PNU has included serving as vice president, dean of the College of Pharmacy, and chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Beyond her academic leadership, she has contributed to national policy through her work on specialized committees under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and as a member of the university's Scientific Council.

Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, complemented by a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from King Saud University. Following the announcement, Dr. Al-Tuwaijri expressed her gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the trust placed in her, characterizing the new position as both an honor and a significant responsibility.
