Najla Al-Tuwaijri appointed as president of Princess Nourah University

According to the Saudi Gazette, Dr. Najla bint Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri has been appointed as the new president of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) in Riyadh. The appointment follows official royal approval, marking a significant leadership transition for the institution.

Dr. Al-Tuwaijri brings extensive academic and administrative experience to the role. She has previously served in several senior capacities at the university, including as vice president, dean of the College of Pharmacy, and chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her background also includes service on the university's Scientific Council and participation in specialized national committees under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.

Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, complemented by a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from King Saud University. Following the announcement, Dr. Al-Tuwaijri expressed her gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their trust, characterizing the position as both a significant honor and a responsibility.
