Nepal flood: ଟନେଲ୍‌ରେ ଫସିଥିବା ଶ୍ରମିକଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ପଳାଇଥିଲେ ଚୀନ୍‌ ସୁପରଭାଇଜର

According to a report from Sambad, a survivor of the recent flash floods at the Trishuli-3A hydropower project in Nepal has leveled serious allegations against a Chinese supervisor. The survivor, identified as Raj Chhetri, claims that he and other workers were inside Tunnel Number 3 when the floodwaters and debris began to breach the structure on August 26.

Chhetri alleges that when the workers realized the severity of the situation and sought assistance to evacuate, the supervisor failed to provide aid or guidance. Instead, Chhetri claims the supervisor prioritized his own escape, leaving the workers behind as the tunnel was compromised by the sudden influx of water and silt.

This incident follows a period of intense weather and flooding in the region, which has caused significant damage to infrastructure and raised concerns regarding workplace safety protocols in large-scale construction projects. Authorities in Nepal are currently managing the aftermath of the floods, which have impacted multiple areas across the country. As of now, there has been no official statement from the project management or local authorities regarding the specific conduct of the supervisor during the evacuation.
