According to a report from Vijayavani, Maddur MLA K.M. Uday has announced new measures to expedite the distribution of title deeds (hakku patra) to residents of the Shivapura Ashraya housing colony. The announcement was made during a program held at the S.M. Krishna Hall in Maddur, where the MLA distributed documents to selected eligible beneficiaries.

The Shivapura Ashraya colony was originally established under the leadership of former Chief Minister S.M. Krishna, with the objective of providing housing and land to economically disadvantaged sections of society. During the event, MLA Uday noted that his administration has focused on improving basic infrastructure in the colony over the past three years. He emphasized that the government is now prioritizing the long-pending issuance of legal title deeds to legitimate residents.

In addition to the distribution efforts, the MLA issued a stern warning regarding unauthorized occupancy. He stated that the local municipal authorities would take strict action against individuals who have obtained plots illegally or have secured multiple allotments. Furthermore, he indicated that beneficiaries who have failed to construct homes on their allotted land within the stipulated timeframe may face the cancellation of their allotments, with the municipal council authorized to reclaim such properties.
