According to a report by Asomiya Pratidin, Jorhat police have conducted a significant anti-narcotics operation at a business establishment known as Shiva Glass, located near the Nepha Gate in Roroiya. During the raid, authorities reportedly seized 19 grams of narcotics and arrested the proprietor, identified as Satish Srivastava.

Following the initial discovery at the business premises, police extended their investigation to Srivastava's residence, where they recovered 1.94 lakh rupees in cash. Law enforcement officials allege that the Shiva Glass establishment served as a primary hub for the distribution of illegal drugs within the Jorhat area. Preliminary investigations suggest that the narcotics were being supplied to the business from Tinsukia.

In response to the findings, local authorities have officially sealed the business premises to prevent further illicit activity. The investigation into the supply chain and the extent of the drug network operating out of the establishment is currently ongoing as police continue to process the evidence gathered during the operation.
