SDAIA launches Ibram platform for digital signatures, document verification

The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has officially launched the Ibram platform, a new digital infrastructure designed to facilitate secure electronic signatures and document verification across the Kingdom's government sector. According to the Saudi Gazette, the platform is intended to streamline administrative processes by providing a trusted digital environment for government entities and their employees to sign and verify official documents instantly.

The platform currently supports over 87 government entities, integrating them into a unified digital certification system. Ibram offers two primary services: digital seals and digital signatures. A digital seal serves as a certificate issued to a government entity to verify the identity of the issuing authority and ensure the integrity of official documents. Digital signatures are issued to individual government employees to provide secure, legally valid authentication for electronic transactions.

This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to enhance the efficiency of its digital government services and ensure high levels of security and reliability in electronic transactions. By centralizing the verification process, SDAIA aims to reduce the time required for document processing while maintaining strict legal standards. The launch of Ibram represents a significant step in the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to digitize its public sector operations and improve the overall quality of government-to-employee and government-to-government interactions.
