Security is foundation of investment and economic growth, Saudi chambers chief says

According to the Saudi Gazette, Abdullah Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, emphasized the critical link between national security and economic prosperity during the Security and History Dialogue 2026 conference held in Riyadh. Kamel argued that the Kingdom’s comprehensive security infrastructure serves as the primary foundation for attracting both regional and global investment.

Addressing attendees at the event, Kamel highlighted the strategic importance of aligning security objectives with economic development goals. He noted that the conference itself, which brought together security officials and private sector investors, serves as a practical demonstration of this synergy. The Chairman specifically thanked the Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, for his patronage of the summit and his ministry's ongoing efforts to maintain stability within the country.

During his remarks, Kamel cited Saudi Arabia’s performance in international indices as evidence of the Kingdom's progress. He stated that the country currently ranks first among G20 nations in metrics measuring the public's sense of safety when walking alone at night. This perception of security, he argued, is a fundamental driver for the long-term growth and competitiveness of the Saudi economy under the current national development framework.
