SOCPA refers unlicensed professional services firm to Public Prosecution

The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) has officially referred an unlicensed commercial establishment to the Public Prosecution. The move follows a series of inspections and evidence-gathering procedures conducted by the organization to ensure compliance with national professional standards.

According to SOCPA, the establishment was found to be advertising professional accounting and auditing services on its website without holding the necessary legal authorization. Such actions are in direct violation of Article 10 of the Law of the Accounting and Auditing Profession, which strictly prohibits misleading the public by implying that an entity is licensed to practice when it is not.

SOCPA emphasized that it remains committed to maintaining the integrity of the accounting sector within the Kingdom. By taking these legal measures, the organization aims to protect the public from fraudulent services and ensure that all professional practices meet the required regulatory benchmarks. The case has now been handed over to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
