The minister condemned the trend of self-appointed groups filming and harassing suspected undocumented migrants, stating that such actions are counterproductive and potentially strengthen international criminal networks. Kharge emphasized that citizens should not take the law into their own hands but should instead report any credible information regarding illegal residency directly to the police.

During his address, the minister highlighted that the state government is already actively addressing the issue through official channels. He noted that authorities have successfully identified and processed thousands of individuals, subsequently handing them over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for further legal action. The minister's comments come amid rising concerns over the circulation of viral videos that target specific communities under the guise of national security.
