According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, a tragic road accident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Suryapet district of Telangana, resulting in the deaths of six people. The incident took place around 5:15 a.m. on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway within the Kodad mandal. The bus, which was carrying 42 passengers, was traveling from Hyderabad to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh when it collided with the rear of a truck.

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the truck was loaded with heavy iron pillars. Upon impact, the chains securing the cargo reportedly snapped, causing the pillars to penetrate the right side of the bus. Authorities noted that the passengers seated in the front section of the bus were the most severely affected. Among the six deceased, five are reported to be women. Additionally, 12 passengers sustained injuries, with two individuals in critical condition currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Vijayawada.

Local authorities are investigating the possibility that the truck may have struck a road divider prior to the collision with the bus, potentially leading to the accident. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and has directed the Chief Secretary to ensure that the injured receive comprehensive medical care and support.
