The individual reported losing KD260 from his bank account after interacting with a furniture advertisement displayed on the TikTok platform.

The victim alleged that the advertisement directed him to a fraudulent website designed to mimic a legitimate retail portal. After entering his payment details to facilitate a furniture purchase, the unauthorized transaction was processed, leading to the immediate deduction of funds from his account. Such incidents have become a growing concern for authorities in the Gulf region, who frequently issue warnings regarding the dangers of clicking on unverified links in social media advertisements.

Local authorities in Kuwait continue to advise residents to exercise extreme caution when shopping online, particularly when dealing with unfamiliar vendors or advertisements that promise heavily discounted goods.
