Traffic Directorate to establish 6 new driving schools

The General Directorate of Traffic in Saudi Arabia has announced plans to expand the nation's driver education infrastructure by establishing six new driving schools. According to the Saudi Gazette, these facilities will be strategically located across several key regions and governorates, including Asir, Jazan, the Dammam Metropolitan Area, Hail, Makkah, and Al-Jouf.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Traffic Directorate to enhance road safety and streamline the licensing process for residents across the Kingdom. By increasing the number of authorized training centers, authorities aim to improve accessibility to mandatory driver training programs and ensure that new motorists are adequately prepared for the country's evolving traffic regulations.

The directorate has issued a call for private sector participation, inviting qualified companies and institutions to submit proposals for the project. Interested parties are required to contact the Traffic Licenses Department to obtain the necessary terms and conditions. Applicants have a window of one month from the date of the announcement to submit their requests for consideration.
