According to reports from Public TV, a 14-year-old student has died in the Tumakuru district of Karnataka after collapsing due to low blood pressure. The victim, identified as Priyanka, was an eighth-grade student residing at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya hostel in Ragasamudra village, located in the Pavagada taluk.

Local authorities report that the incident occurred within the hostel premises, where the student collapsed in the restroom. Despite the efforts made following the incident, the student could not be saved. The young girl was the daughter of Narasimha Murthy and Sharadamma, residents of Karaganahatti village.

While the report attributes the cause of death to a sudden drop in blood pressure, such incidents often prompt local administrative reviews regarding student health monitoring and medical access in residential school facilities.
