Turkiye Condemns Attacks on Saudi East-West Oil Pipeline

The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a formal statement on Saturday, expressing strong condemnation regarding recent attacks targeting the East-West oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia. According to the report from the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the incidents affected facilities located within the Riyadh and Medina regions.

Ankara’s statement characterized the attacks as a significant breach of regional security, noting that the strikes were reportedly carried out by drones launched from Iraqi territory. The ministry confirmed that the assault resulted in both property damage to the critical energy infrastructure and injuries to personnel on the ground.

The East-West pipeline, a vital component of Saudi Arabia’s energy export capacity, connects the kingdom's eastern oil fields to the Red Sea coast. This incident marks a continuation of regional tensions involving cross-border drone activity, which has frequently drawn international concern regarding the safety of global energy supply chains.
