According to Vartha Bharati, a road accident occurred on July 29 near the Sri Sahasralingeshwara-Mahakali temple in Uppinangadi, Karnataka. A KSRTC bus traveling from Puttur to Uppinangadi was struck from behind by a lorry on the national highway.

The collision resulted in injuries to three passengers, identified as Jalaja, Mamata, and Taranath. Following the incident, the injured individuals were transported to the government hospital in Puttur for medical treatment. Local authorities have confirmed that a case has been registered at the Puttur traffic police station regarding the accident.
