Absher processes nearly 49 million digital transactions in June

According to the Saudi Gazette, the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform, Absher, processed nearly 49 million digital transactions during the month of June. The data indicates a high volume of engagement across both the Absher Individuals and Absher Business portals, reflecting the Kingdom’s ongoing transition toward comprehensive digital governance.

The Absher Individuals platform served as the primary driver of this activity, accounting for 46,113,483 transactions. A significant portion of this volume, totaling 38,026,828, involved the use of the platform's Digital Documents Wallet, a feature that allows citizens, residents, and visitors to access official documentation securely via the mobile application. Meanwhile, the Absher Business platform facilitated 2,741,305 transactions, supporting the administrative needs of the commercial sector.

Further breakdown of the data highlights the role of various security and civil agencies in managing these digital requests. The General Directorate of Public Security recorded over 3.3 million transactions, with the majority processed through the General Department of Traffic. Additionally, the General Directorate of Passports handled 3,924,073 transactions, while the Ministry of Interior's Civil Affairs Agency processed 684,964. Beyond routine processing, the platform also enabled users to submit 151,240 reports and conduct over 2,500 fingerprint-related inquiries.

This surge in digital activity underscores the Saudi government's push to streamline public services through centralized electronic platforms. By migrating traditional administrative tasks to the Absher ecosystem, the Ministry of Interior aims to reduce physical foot traffic at government offices and improve the efficiency of service delivery for the Kingdom's population.
