Following the administration of the initial treatment, the student's condition reportedly deteriorated, necessitating his transfer to the Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, where he subsequently died. In a separate development, another student named Anand Raj has also been reported as hospitalized at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital due to a fever.
