Belkin says its new ‘BoostSolid’ Qi2 batteries last 3x longer than your other magnetic power banks

According to 9to5Google, Belkin has unveiled its latest lineup of magnetic power banks during the IFA 2026 trade show. The new series, branded as UltraCharge Pro, utilizes solid-state battery technology, which the company claims offers significantly improved longevity compared to traditional lithium-ion magnetic power banks currently on the market.

The new devices are designed to support the Qi2 wireless charging standard, allowing for charging speeds of up to 15W. By incorporating solid-state components, Belkin aims to address common concerns regarding battery degradation and thermal management in portable magnetic chargers, which are frequently used to supplement the battery life of modern smartphones.

While the company has touted a three-fold increase in lifespan for these units, independent testing will be required to verify these performance metrics under real-world usage conditions. The announcement comes as part of a broader trend at IFA 2026, where manufacturers are increasingly focusing on battery efficiency and charging standards to meet the demands of power-intensive mobile devices.
