According to BBC Hindi, a man identified as Manish Kumar Gupta has been arrested by police in Bihar after allegedly posing as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer for nearly a decade. The suspect reportedly arrived at a local police station in a high-end Tesla vehicle, a detail that drew attention to his claims of holding a high-ranking government position.

Authorities state that Gupta had been successfully deceiving members of the public for approximately ten years by impersonating a civil servant. His arrest marks the end of a prolonged period of fraudulent activity, during which he allegedly leveraged the perceived authority of the IAS title to conduct his affairs.

Police have since taken the suspect into custody and moved to process him through the judicial system.
