Dust-stirring winds, rain and rising temperatures forecast across Saudi Arabia

According to the Saudi Gazette, the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather forecast for Saturday, warning of dust-stirring winds, rainfall, and rising temperatures across various regions of the Kingdom. The meteorological agency indicates that residents in the Eastern and Riyadh regions should prepare for an increase in temperatures, while southern areas of these regions, alongside parts of Jazan and Asir, are expected to experience rainfall.

The NCM further reported that dust-stirring winds are anticipated to impact the Eastern, Riyadh, Jazan, Asir, Makkah, and Najran regions. These weather patterns are expected to influence maritime conditions as well. Over the Red Sea, wind speeds are projected to vary, with northern parts seeing southwesterly to southeasterly winds at 10–25 km/h, while central and southern areas will face westerly to northwesterly winds reaching speeds of 20–50 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to range from calm to choppy, with wave heights between 0.5 and 2 meters.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast predicts northeasterly to northwesterly winds in the northern sector, with westerly to northwesterly winds prevailing across the central and southern parts. These weather conditions are part of the NCM's routine monitoring of the Kingdom's climate, aimed at keeping residents and travelers informed of potential environmental shifts. Authorities advise those in affected areas to remain updated through official NCM channels as conditions evolve throughout the day.
