Heavy Rain: ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷାରେ ଭୁଶୁଡ଼ିଲା ଘର କାନ୍ଥ, ବର୍ତ୍ତିଗଲେ ୭ଜଣ

According to a report by Sambad, heavy and persistent rainfall in the Kandhamal district of Odisha has led to significant property damage and localized flooding. Several villages in the region have been cut off from transportation due to the severe weather conditions, with numerous mud houses reported to have collapsed under the strain of the downpour.

One specific incident occurred in Kapuguda village, located within the Bandguda panchayat of the Nuagaon block. A wall of a house belonging to Subarna Behera collapsed on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:00 PM. The family, consisting of seven members, was inside the structure when the incident occurred, though they reportedly escaped without injury.

The affected family has since relocated to a relative's home while they await assistance. Local residents are calling for the district administration to assess the damage and provide necessary support to those whose homes have been compromised by the ongoing monsoon conditions in the region.
