Hot weather during day, warm at night over weekend - Meteorological Dept.

The Kuwait Meteorological Department has issued an official weather forecast for the upcoming weekend, warning of extremely high temperatures across the country. According to Acting Director Dhirar Al-Ali, the region is currently being influenced by an extension of the seasonal Indian low-pressure system, which is bringing an extremely hot and humid air mass to the area.

Daytime temperatures are expected to reach between 47 and 49 degrees Celsius. The forecast indicates that while the days will remain extremely hot, the nights will transition to a warm to hot climate. Coastal areas are particularly expected to experience relatively high humidity levels throughout the period.

Meteorological models suggest that winds will generally be light to moderate, primarily from the northwesterly direction, though they may become variable at times with speeds ranging from 10 to 32 kilometers per hour. The department also noted the presence of low- to mid-level clouds, with a slight possibility of light, scattered rain in some regions. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during the peak heat hours of the day.
