Islamic Military Coalition conducts specialized program on countering extremism

The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) has concluded a specialized training program focused on the conceptual foundations and emerging challenges of countering violent extremism. The initiative, held at the organization's headquarters in Riyadh, was conducted in collaboration with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), a prominent international defense and security think tank based in the United Kingdom.

According to the Saudi Gazette, the program was attended by IMCTC Secretary General Maj. Gen. Pilot Mohammed Al-Moghedi alongside representatives from various member states. The sessions were designed to address the rapidly evolving nature of extremist threats, specifically focusing on new methods of dissemination and the complex financial networks that support such activities.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen the partnership between the IMCTC and the United Kingdom, as well as to foster deeper cooperation with specialized international institutions.
