Pune Rural Police have arrested a third individual, Ritesh Hange, in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of Ketan Agarwal. According to police officials, Hange is an associate of the primary suspect, Chetan Chaudhary, and is suspected of being involved in the conspiracy to commit the crime. Following his arrest, Hange was presented before the Vadgaon Maval Court, which remanded him to police custody until September 12.

Superintendent of Police for Pune Rural, Sandeep Singh Gill, confirmed that the investigation is focused on the alleged premeditated nature of the incident. The case centers on the death of Ketan Agarwal, who died after falling into a gorge at Lohagad Fort on June 18. Agarwal had visited the site with his fiancée, identified as Siya, who is now facing allegations of conspiring with her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, to cause Agarwal's death.

Authorities allege that the plot was finalized the day before the incident, on June 17, during a meeting between Siya and Chaudhary at a local cafe. Police sources cited by news agencies suggest that the suspects had scouted the location at the fort specifically to carry out the act. Both Siya and Chetan Chaudhary remain in police custody as the investigation continues to unfold.
