King Salman and Crown Prince condole Sharjah Ruler over death of Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al-Qasimi

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have extended their formal condolences to the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al-Qasimi, following the passing of Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem bin Sultan Al-Qasimi. The official communication was conveyed through separate cables sent to the Sharjah leadership.

In their messages, the Saudi leadership expressed their deepest sympathies to the Ruler of Sharjah and the bereaved family, praying for the deceased to be granted mercy and peace. Similar cables of condolence were also dispatched to the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, who is the brother of the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al-Qasimi passed away in Sharjah on Friday. The exchange of such messages is a customary diplomatic practice between the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, reflecting the close bilateral ties and the shared traditions of the Gulf Cooperation Council states during times of mourning.
