ಕುಂಬಳೆ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಚೌಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ

According to a report by Vijayavani, the first unit of the 'Digital Square' project has been inaugurated at the Government Senior Basic School in Kumbla, Kerala. The initiative was launched by Education Minister N. Shamsudheen as part of the state government's 100-day action plan, which aims to modernize educational infrastructure and bridge the digital divide among primary school students.

The event was presided over by Manjeshwar MLA A.K.M. Ashraf, with Kasaragod MLA N.A. Nellikkunnu and District Panchayat President Sabu Abraham attending as guests of honor. The project, led by the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), is designed to transform digital devices into tools for self-study while fostering a culture of safe and productive internet browsing among young learners.

Beyond basic digital literacy, the Digital Square project integrates ICT-based textbooks such as 'Kalippetti' and 'E-Vidya' to support learning across various subjects. Officials stated that the facility is designed to be accessible to all students, including those with disabilities, to ensure inclusive educational growth. The project is expected to be expanded to other schools across the state as part of the broader effort to enhance digital education in Kerala.
