Kuwait Raid Uncovers Secret Home-Based Sweet Factory Selling Unsafe Sweets in Mubarak Al-Kabeer

According to the Arab Times Kuwait, authorities in Kuwait have successfully dismantled an unlicensed, home-based facility operating in the Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate. The operation was conducted by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) in direct coordination with the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Criminal Investigation Department.

Officials stated that the raid uncovered a clandestine production site where various sweets were being manufactured under unsanitary conditions. The authorities seized the products, citing significant concerns regarding public health and safety standards. The facility lacked the necessary health permits and licenses required for food production and commercial distribution within the country.

This action is part of a broader, ongoing effort by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition to monitor and regulate the food supply chain across Kuwaiti residential areas. The authority has emphasized that such unlicensed operations pose a direct risk to consumers, as they bypass mandatory health inspections and quality control protocols. Legal proceedings against the individuals involved are currently underway, and the seized materials have been confiscated for laboratory testing and subsequent disposal.
