According to Sambad, India and China held the 36th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on border affairs in New Delhi this Thursday. The high-level discussions focused on the current situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), as well as ongoing issues related to border management, demarcation, and cross-border cooperation.

During the session, representatives from both nations emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the border regions. Both sides committed to continuing regular communication through both diplomatic and military channels to manage tensions and prevent escalation. The Indian delegation was led by Sujit Ghosh, Joint Secretary of the East Asia Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, while the Chinese delegation was led by their respective foreign ministry counterparts.

This meeting represents a continued effort by both New Delhi and Beijing to navigate the complex security landscape along their shared border. The WMCC serves as a primary platform for both countries to address operational concerns and exchange views on the status of the LAC. As of now, both governments have signaled their intent to keep dialogue channels open to ensure that border management remains a priority for regional stability.
