National Day air shows will begin in Jeddah on Friday and conclude in Al-Khobar

The Saudi Ministry of Defense has officially announced the schedule and locations for a series of air shows to be held in celebration of the Kingdom's upcoming National Day. The festivities, which commemorate the annual observance on September 23, will feature aerial displays across three major cities: Jeddah, Riyadh, and Al-Khobar.

According to the Ministry, the aerial demonstrations are set to begin in Jeddah on Friday, September 18, at the Roshan Waterfront, situated near the Jeddah Hilton Hotel. These displays are scheduled to continue in the city through Sunday. Following the Jeddah events, the focus will shift to the capital, Riyadh, where shows are slated for September 22 and 23 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham.

The final leg of the celebrations will take place in Al-Khobar on September 26 and 27. These performances will be hosted at the Al-Khobar Waterfront, specifically in the area fronting the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center. Residents and visitors in these regions are advised to prepare for potential traffic adjustments and increased activity in the skies during these designated times.
