According to a report by Asomiya Pratidin, India has mobilized significant humanitarian assistance to Nepal in the wake of devastating flash floods that have impacted the region. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced on Friday that the government has dispatched approximately 95 tons of relief materials to the affected areas via seven dedicated aircraft flights. The aid mission also includes the deployment of 54 specialized personnel tasked with assisting in ongoing search and rescue operations.

Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, stated during a press briefing in New Delhi that India remains committed to supporting Nepal's recovery efforts. Jaiswal confirmed that the assistance is being provided in direct response to requests from the Nepalese government. Looking ahead, India plans to send additional resources, including forensic kits, Bailey bridges, and other critical infrastructure supplies, to help restore connectivity and support local authorities in their disaster management efforts.

The report also highlights concerns regarding the safety of Indian nationals in the region, noting that 275 individuals remain unaccounted for following the floods. As rescue operations continue, the Indian government has signaled its readiness to provide further support as requested by Kathmandu. The situation remains fluid as rescue teams work to navigate the challenges posed by the damaged infrastructure and the scale of the flooding.
