According to Asomiya Pratidin, the Asam Sahitya Sabha officially inaugurated its sixth central executive session and tribal cultural gathering for the 2025-27 term on Saturday in Udalguri. The two-day event is being organized at the Bishnu Rabha Kristi Sangha premises under the initiative of the Mangal Chandi Brahma Language and Literature Research Centre and the Udalguri District Sahitya Sabha.

During the inauguration, Dr. Basanta Kumar Goswami, President of the Asam Sahitya Sabha, emphasized the importance of preserving the diverse linguistic and cultural heritage of Assam. He stated that all ethnic groups contribute to the enrichment of the broader Assamese society and urged the Sahitya Sabha to take a proactive and sincere role in addressing the challenges faced by the various languages and literatures of the region.

Dr. Goswami further called for unity among all ethnic communities, stressing that collective strength is essential for the welfare of the people. He advocated for a collaborative approach to ensure that the diverse cultural identities within the state remain cohesive and vibrant, discouraging any divisions among the various groups.
